November 6-9

Happy National Nacho Day!

English Language Arts: Our spelling words this week are focused on prefixes (re-, un-, il-, in-, im-, sub-, pre-, super-, etc.) Students can find their words on my website under the correct color group they’re in (orange or blue). We are also reading folktales this week and will be work on writing our final draft of our Landform reports. We are also working on verbs this week. The weekly vocabulary quiz and spelling test will be this Thursday, as there is no school Friday. This means students’ homework notebooks will also be due on Thursday.

Math: We are learning or remembering the steps to multiply 2, 3, and 4 digit numbers by 1 digit using the standard method.

Quick Quiz: This week we will be quizzed on adding and subtracting larger numbers (3 digit and 4 digit numbers)

Religion: If your student didn’t turn in a Saint report today, they can bring it in tomorrow for 1 point off. We will be presenting our Saint reports throughout the week.

History: We have our Unit 1 test this Thursday! Students have a study guide they can use to help them know what is covered on the test. Stay tuned for a specific History email about our Google Classroom resources.

Science: Students are working in their botany unit.

If you need a translator, please let me know. Si necesita un traductor, por favor hágamelo saber.

If you would like to order any books, the deadline is tomorrow. You can send in a check, cash, or order online at this link and use our class code NJM3G. These can be great Christmas presents, and I am more than happy to keep any books you order secret for you.
